My child is registered but unable to attend. Can I get a refund for the event?

No, all entry fees are non-refundable and non-transferable. There are no exceptions. If you are unable to make it to the event you are still invited to attend packet pick-up and receive this year's fantastic giveaways!

When and where is packet pick-up?

Packet pick-up will be held at Phillip Heit Center for Healthy New Albany (150 W. Main St, New Albany, OH 43054), Friday, June 26, 2020 between 9:00 am – 5:00 pm.

 

Can I pick up my child's packet the morning of the Kids Triathlon?

No, there is no packet pick-up on race day. Packets are only available during packet pick-up. If you are unable to make it to packet pick-up, you are welcome to send a friend or family member to get your packet for you.

If I am not able to pick up my race packet during packet pick-up, can I get it after the race is over?

No, race packets are only available during the designated times of packet pick-up listed above. You are welcome to send a friend or family member to get your packet for you.

Can my child's entry be transferred to a friend if my child cannot participate?

No. Due to USA Triathlon (USAT) rules and regulations, each participant/parent must register himself/herself and sign his/her own waiver.  Anyone who participates with another person's bib number will be disqualified. For the safety of the participants it is imperative that the registration data associated with the race participant. If the race staff becomes aware that someone has participated in the event with a bib that is not registered to him or her, both the participant and the person to whom the bib is registered will be prohibited from participating.

What is the cancellation policy?

The Kids Triathlon in accordance with management staff, city officials and local law enforcement has the authority to cancel the event for emergency purposes such as, but not limited to, inclement weather or threat of terrorism. If such emergency conditions force cancellation, refunds will not be provided as a large portion of funds are spent in preparation for race day. Kids Triathlon staff will make every effort to inform participants as soon as possible in the event of a cancellation.

What is the weather policy?

The Race Director reserves the right to modify the course at any time before or during an event by his/her own judgement or if instructed by local law enforcement personnel.

Can headphones be worn during the race?

No. Headphones and phones/audio devices are not permitted to be carried or worn at any time during the race.
